I have read many very negative comments on social media concerning the 2023 convention. Most of those comments are just not so. We had a good meeting. Truly it was somber and a little sad because of the removal of sister churches from our fellowship, yet God still shows up. His grace is still sufficient. During worship Wednesday morning this was especially apparent to those paying attention. Some said they just didn’t feel like worshiping and neither did I but God still filled the convention center with His presence. Whenever the worship team from Southwestern started singing”Behold Our God” everything changed. People started singing along with more power and courage. By the time we got to “The Revelation Song” the congregation sang so loud that we could not really hear the worship band. I noticed this especially because my daughter had a solo and we couldn’t really hear her in the moment. PRAISE GOD! BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THAT IS WHAT EVERY WORSHIP LEADER WANTS. The people working the cameras noticed also and turned their attention away from the stage to pan the worshipers. Praise God for a moment of grace and power during a time when we truly needed it. Thank you to everyone who worked the convention. I know it is not easy work and I know too that you are not always appreciated, but it is always worth it. People will be in heaven because of your efforts.
